After writing about gaining admin access in school computers, today I make a follow up of that article with gaining admin access using a guest account. This is more useful if you can’t use the first method to gain admin privileges.
So, normally a guest account wouldn’t have access to admin files or any normal user’s files because he doesn’t have the required permissions to access them. But do you know that you could find a way around and gain admin access? It’s pretty easy, let me explain you the trick with the following steps.
Step1: Go to C:/Windows/System32 and copy the file cmd.exe and paste it on your desktop.
Step2: Rename the file cmd.exe to sethc.exe and copy-paste it to C:/Windows/System32 windows will prompt that file already exists but just press OK.
Step3: Now you need to logoff the guest account and try to gain access to the admin account.
Step4: After logging off, at the login screen press shift 5 times, Tadaa! Command prompt will appear with Admin privileges so with admin privileges you can add new users or change files using command prompt.
Now after gaining access with admin account using this trick you can add users, change users, delete users, files and do pretty much anything an admin would normally do.
To add a new user type command as:
- net user username /add
To add the user to admin group type command as
- net user localgroup administrators username /add
